TEXAS FOCUS: NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE
The Texas Focus is a quarterly newsletter intended to increase the awareness of the implementation of NCLB—both nationally and within Texas. The newsletter is no longer active but archived issues are still available on this page.
The newsletter highlighted the activities of the Texas Comprehensive Center (Texas CC) and its work with TEA and the state’s 20 education service centers (ESCs). Texas Focus was distributed to TEA staff, ESC specialists, the NCLB Committee of Practitioners of Texas, and staff members of the School Improvement Resource Center (SIRC) and the Statewide School Support/Parent Involvement Initiative of Texas.
TXCC has replaced TEXAS FOCUS quarterly newsletter with topic-based Briefing Papers
About the Briefing Papers
The Texas CC briefing papers address topics requested by our partners at the Texas Education Agency. Texas CC staff collect information regarding research and practices related to these topics and summarize that information so that educators can use it to support their work at the state, district, and campus level to meet student needs more effectively.
Each briefing paper also includes an extensive list of references to guide readers to additional resources on the topic of the paper.
